PDL-Landscaping came to me because they needed to create strong online presence, create marketing and content strategies, establish SEO foundations to increase search engine traffic and drive future growth.
The goal was to drive conversion of site visitors into contacts and, ultimately, clients. We needed to create a content strategy that would clearly tell their story and communicate their services across the site and search engines.
My role was to implement a fully responsive solution backed by WordPress CMS and Gutenberg Blocks and optimize their website for search engines.
My responsibilities included conducting user research, registering web domain, setting up WordPress environment, planning website design, ensuring responsive design, prototyping, developing sample site, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), testing cross-browser compatibility and iterating design based on client’s guidance.
A few months before contacting me, PDL-Landscaping formed their brand strategies with custom logo and visual identity guidelines. We needed to structure and prototype a site for content that didn’t exist yet. Budget and time were limited, therefore, I chose to customize Gutenify Civil WordPress theme with Gutenberg Blocks Editor. This theme supported our SEO strategies for its fast loading speed and for its design focused on lead generation. Their branding was kept in place, and I worked with their existing palette to give the site polished, fresh and modern feel. I focused on incorporating their impactful imagery and let their work speaks for itself.
The new PDL-Landscaping website is a strong credibility asset that increases trust and integrity for their growing online presence. It’s build for great user experience by making it quick and easy for visitors to find exactly what they need. PDL-Landscaping already had a great brand style, and I wanted to preserve that in their new website. I worked with a palette of red contrasted with black and white. I added green and yellow colors to bring fresh, colorful, clean and open feel. The visitors are welcomed with a large hero section highlighting important keywords and call-to-action buttons. Engaging imagery and breathing room is in balance with valuable information. Smooth and interactive animations increases user’s engagement and strengthen user experience. With a strong SEO foundation and responsive design, their organic search traffic has seen a steady increase since the new site was launched.
Strategically placed calls to action buttons to increase new leads and customer base.
SEO strategy focused on local SEO. Result: Ranking on first page in organic search.
Throughout this project, I experienced team collaboration, but I also faced challenges, such as indirect communication with the client. I learned the importance of research and feedbacks. Each iteration pushed the results closer to our goal.
